“So – what’s your budget?“

"So – what’s your budget?"

I had an interesting conversation with an advertising sales representative from an online news provider regarding some advertising I was recently considering. The truth of the matter was that the advertising rep wasn’t interested in much else apart from how much I had to spend, “So what’s your budget?”  Whilst I acknowledge that budget is one of the 'important factors', I was mostly interested in how an advertising program with this company could help me achieve the KPI’s that I had set for the campaign and the budget would be worked back from there. Advertising representatives take note; it is not about you or how big your clients budget is, it is about what you can achieve for the client and the budget is secondary to that!

P.S – a warm welcome to Michele Smorgon who recently joined the Next Marketing team as our Senior Marketing Advisor.  Welcome!

Until next time!
